Words don’t even describe. Also, i am so tiered that i would rather post them than ramble about them!
Enjoy.

Yesterday the foundations class was divided and each group was assigned a section of the “Line”. Each group then had to explore their section and prepare to give a tour of their section the next day.
So, the “Line” is a line one mile long that crosses through both Alfred state and Alfred university. Check out the map HERE!
Today we went on our hike and as far as i could tell we all had alot of fun. Due to the immense number of photos i took i am unable to post them here. Instead GIVE THIS A CLICK TO SEE A MY HALF OF THE CLASS’S ADVENTURE!
Here are a few that i felt stood out for your viewing pleasure!
Today, on a completely and undoubtedly unrelated subject, Kyle and I volunteered at the Scio Memorial Library. Our task was to clean and prepare the library for a guest speaker is going to present on the history of Scio NY. Most of our work was vacuuming, cleaning windows, and moving furniture. The work wasn’t to hard, and the weather was fine so i enjoyed hanging on a ladder all day scrubbing windows that had most likely never been cleaned. While we where working one of the librarians offered us a box of old encyclopedias which Kyle jumped at. Later on after more scrubbing I was offered a sewing machine. it seemed simple from the table and i had little time to inspect it so i said yes and took it home! When we got back to my dorm Kyle and I opened it up and got a nice little surprise. It was a 1955 Singer sewing machine! We immediately plugged it in and to our surprise and amazement the light lit up, and it runs like the day it was made! Right now i would love to clean it up a little more, grease it ups, and refinish the wood! Attached is a picture for your viewing pleasure! Stay tuned for “Homework: PERSONAL TERRITORY TOUR”
In preparation for out next assignment in Drawing X we were all instructed to find 6 textures, and to create 6 textures. here are some photos of the textures that I found! (Remember to click on them to get a larger view and don’t be afraid to zooom) in.)

This is the second of the two stencil drawing that we did for the Drawing X section of Freshman Foundations. Again, I blacked the blacks, and whited the whites.
Last Thursday we were assigned a project in which we were to create a series of blind contour drawings then, using stencil paper, create stencils using our drawings. Next we were to use those stencils to create two drawings (a loose term here). I decided to go with acrylic paint (black) and create almost a “print” like effect for the first one.
When i decided that i wanted to upload it to this (Amazing) blog i first wanted to crop and contrast-asize (an art term) the image to make it pop, like corn. I did my photo magic and a strange thing happened, the image became so crisp and beautiful, but simultaneously lost almost all of its information, leaving me with a highly pixelated MS Paint like image. Click on the image, ZOOOM in and check it out!
The second one is still just in the beginning phases, but it should be done by this Friday!
