This morning at 8:00 AM the Studio research section of foundations stumbled into the studio, exploration kits in hand ready for a day of adventure.
We began by getting in groups of two, then we pared up with another group of two and each exchanged our kits with those of the other group.
My partner was Fredal and we exchanged our kits with Natalie & Mary.
We began with Natalie’s kit which at first sight seemed a bit simple.
But after taking it apart and reading the instruction it turned out to be extremely well thought out and well prepared.
We first had to find the spot and then climb down into it. Next we where instructed to make ourselves a cup of tea, (it was 36 degrees out!) light some incense, relax, and enjoy the space. Overall it was a really great experience and i hope to have the opportunity to go back and do it again! See more pictures below!

Next we went on Mary’s tour, which was interesting to say the least. We were given this container,
And it had us go into a small alley and describe how we would use each of the objects in the jar to defend ourselves if need be.
Overall i am left a bit confused as to how i feel about that space and the activity. The kit seemed a bit rushed, but for the topic and idea it fit and even seemed well thought out.
Below are a few more categorized pictures from the day!
Enjoy 🙂
I’m fascinated by how varied the interpretations of the assignment are. It says a lot about the interesting individuals (yourself included!) making up your class.
